I appreciate all of the prayers and well wishes. After prayer and discussions with my dad, it was decided that services for my mom will take place Sunday. We will have a family memorial later. This is what my dad wants.

I will be on my way to the Dominican Republic to attend the PADI Course Director Training Course by 0500. I will return on 29 June and post on the 30th. I hate to miss two weeks of keeping you “posted” on events at the Florida Sea Base but I will out of the loop and have very limited, if any, internet access and even less free time. I am too low in the pecking order for the BSA to allow my phone to be activated for international calls. Director of Program Rob Kolb will handle incoming emails and phone calls from participants. Rob can be contacted at Robert.Kolb@scouting.org or 305-664-5614. Scuba Commissioner Laura Kuras will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the scuba programs. Captain Rich Beliveau will approve bills for payment in my absence. Office Manager Susan Mahoney will continue to review the medical forms and handle crew check-ins/outs. And as always, the seasonal scuba staff will make the magic happen for our scuba participants. There is a little apprehension about me being gone during the program season but this team can cover for me for two weeks.
