The forecast calls for possible spotty showers today.  You can see a band of strong showers off the coast of the Florida Sea Base in this 05:35 radar graphic from Weather Underground.

This band was moving generally parallel to shore so I don’t think it will be a threat.  However, it is common for cells like this to pop up throughout the day.

Otherwise, the weather is gorgeous.

After a week off, the sailing program had a Coral Reef Sailing crew arrive yesterday.  More sailing crews will check in today and tomorrow.  We have one Scuba Liveaboard crew checking in today and one Scuba Liveaboard and five Scuba Adventure crews arriving tomorrow.

More crews means we need more staff.  Scott Patton has recently returned.  He has worked at the Florida Sea Base for a few years now as a Divemaster.  But this past fall he attended the first Florida Sea Base Instructor Development Course and earned his PADI Open Water Instructor rating. Rich Goldman has also returned to bail us out.  Rich is working on his PADI IDC Staff Instructor rating.
